Jennifer Lopez spotted wearing gold band on her left hand after filing for divorce from Ben Affleck
Jennifer Lopez was spotted wearing a gold band on her left ring finger less than two weeks after she filed for divorce from Ben Affleck.
The “On the Floor” singer, 55, interestingly wore the ring on Friday in Los Angeles as she stepped out in public for the first time since filing. She paired the plain band with a diamond ring on her pinky finger.
It’s unclear if the ring finger jewelry is from her marriage to Affleck. Reps for the star did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.
Lopez was photographed exiting a black vehicle in Beverly Hills, Calif. and immediately walking into a building.
She wore flared denim jeans and a white halter crop top. The top featured a keyhole opening on the chest that showed off some cleavage.
The singer and actress paired the simple yet chic look with beige pumps and a two-toned purse.
In addition to the rings, she accessorized with layered bracelets.
She left her layered honey-blonde hair down.
Lopez filed for divorce from Affleck, 52, on Aug. 30 — the anniversary of their second wedding in Georgia.
She cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for their split and listed their official date of separation as April 26.
The divorce filing followed months of rumors that their marriage was crumbling despite her honest effort to try to save it.
“She truly believed this was the greatest love story she’d ever known and she was finally getting her chance at the fairy tale,” a person close to the star told Page Six last week. “She just really didn’t stop to consider who the actual man was [in] the fairy tale.”
According to the insider, Affleck has a “darkness to him that no other person can fix.”
“They were trying to work through it, but when [his] mood swings and the big highs and big lows informed a toxicity that was pervasive, no one can help you — you have to help yourself,” another source told People.
“She didn’t want a divorce. She wanted to figure things out. They love each other,” an insider divulged to People Monday. “Jennifer is not the type to just give up. It’s been almost torture for her to wait around.”
Her family and friends agree that it was the right decision,” they added.
Affleck and Lopez originally began dating in 2002 after meeting on the set of “Gigli.” After getting engaged and then delaying their wedding, they eventually called it quits in 2004.
They rekindled their romance in early 2021 and Affleck popped the question for the second time in April 2022.
Lopez told Variety in December 2023 that she and the “Argo” star were well-equipped to handle their love in the spotlight the second time around.
“We’re wiser. We also know what’s important, what’s really important in life, and it’s not so much what other people think. It’s about being true to who you are,” she said.
