Yaqin, 18, went viral after a video surfaced of her serving customers in a restaurant owned by her parents in Hengyang City.
Wearing her Olympic uniform, she brought a bowl of soup to a table in the packed eatery.
Viewers took to social media to praise the teenage star for staying grounded.
One wrote: “Hard work and feet on the ground.”
Another added: “Her family and community must be proud.”
