Many saw this as one of Iran’s clearest threats yet against the US leader, coming at a time when Trump is thinking about possible military action against Iran.
Iranian leaders claim the US is using the country’s ongoing protests as an excuse to get involved.
The warning referred directly to the 2024 shooting incident, showing the same image of Trump from that day.
This came after reports that the US is moving some troops in the region, including from its big base in Qatar called Al Udeid, over fears Iran might strike back if attacked.
A top Iranian official mentioned the country’s missile attack on that same base in June 2025 as a reminder of what could happen again.
In a recent CBS News interview, Trump said the US would hit back hard if Iran keeps cracking down harshly on its protesters.
