It has been one year since Donald Trump was re-elected as the US President for a second term.
The 79-year-old has been at the forefront of several significant global events since his return to the White House, from attending the Pope’s funeral to receiving a Royal welcome at Windsor Castle by King Charles and Queen Camilla during his historic state visit.
Throughout these public appearances, First Lady Melania Trump has consistently been by his side. A well-known lip reader has been closely observing her interactions with her husband, revealing that she isn’t hesitant to give him crucial directives.
This dynamic was highlighted in a recent memoir penned by Eric Trump titled Under Siege: My Family’s Fight to Save Our Nation.
In it, the president’s son recalls how Melania took charge during the christenings of his children at the White House.

He wrote: “After the baptism, my father picked up his new grandson and held him for a photo. Right on cue, and still dripping with water, Luke started to cry.
“Melania turned to him with a smile and took charge. ‘Donald, you run the country,’ she said as she gently took Luke and cradled him in her arms.”
While Trump has been leading the nation for a second term, Melania has been there providing guidance throughout, as we detail below.
Inauguration
Trump’s inauguration as America’s 47th president featured a dance with his wife at the Liberty Ball.
During the exchange that one witness described as “awkward”, Melania demonstrated her backing throughout the moment. Lip reader Jeremy Freeman decoded her words as: “Today is one we will never forget.”
Trump subsequently responded: “You’re right, I’ll learn, I’ll fight.”
Melania kept reassuring him during the interaction and pledged “I got you”.
Pope’s Funeral

This commitment by Melania was evident during the funeral of Pope Frances in the Vatican back in April.
The ceremony fell on the same day as Melania’s 55th birthday and once again the same lip reading specialist was available to analyze crucial conversations.
One occurred when the camera captured French President Emmanuel Macron murmuring to Finland President Alexander Stubb.
While the officials exchanged handshakes and posed for photographers, Melania, observing all the activity surrounding her, whispered to Trump to provide three words of guidance.
She accomplished this discreetly to avoid attracting notice and Jeremy maintained that she simply stated: “Donald, look left.”
Seeming to rely on Melania’s instincts, Trump instantly followed her direction, before connecting with the King of Spain, Felipe VI, and declaring “great to see you… great to see you”.
He then seemed to enter complete diplomatic mode following Melania’s guidance and he greeted Stubb and Macron before telling the latter: “Great to see you Alex, good to see you, how are you doing?”
Lip reader Nicola Hickling observed a power dynamic when audience members, including Prince William, prepared to exchange a Sign of Peace. Trump seemed to hesitate, and Nicola believes Melania whispered in his ear: “You should go and do it.”
As usual, the president promptly followed his wife’s advice.
Air Force One
The viral exchange that was caught on camera
The most recent instance occurred in September when the influential duo were caught in a heated discussion inside Marine One. Trump was filmed pointing his finger at Melania in a clip that quickly went viral before lip reader Jeremy scrutinized it further.
This vigorous conversation took place after Trump’s appearance at the United Nations General Assembly in New York. Jeremy thinks they were discussing the “escalator-gate” incident, with Melania reportedly saying: “You just continued…” to which Trump responded: “It was unbelievable.”
While discussing the escalator malfunction as they were about to step onto it, Melania seemingly instructed him: “Just say it and leave it.”
Still visibly annoyed, Trump retorted: “How can you do that..”
However, Melania issued a firm final directive: “Donald, look at me.”
She was then seen shaking her head before they disembarked from the helicopter and strolled hand in hand across the White House South Lawn.
