Barcelona w meczu z Realem Sociedad zaprezentowała się słabiutko. Nie była w stanie oddać żadnego celnego strzału. Wynik mógł być jednak zdecydowanie lepszy dla Blaugrany, gdyby nie fatalna pomyłka sędziów VAR.

W 13. minucie Robert Lewandowski trafił do siatki gospodarzy, ale gol został anulowany po analizie VAR z powodu minimalnego spalonego Polaka. Sędziowie uznali, że stopa znajdująca się bliżej bramki należy do Polaka, a nie do obrońcy gospodarzy.
