Truly Amazing: Taylor Swift thanks ‘Eras Tour’ crew for “working tirelessly” to create new ‘Tortured Poets’ set
Taylor Swift has thanked her ‘Eras Tour’ crew for “working tirelessly” to rework her set ahead of her current run of shows.
The pop star began the European, UK and Ireland leg of her huge career-spanning tour with four concerts at the Paris La Défense Arena last week.
As many fans predicted, Swift worked her 11th album ‘The Tortured Poets Department’ into the setlist as a new ‘era’ – with some tracks being cut as a result.
After wrapping up the Paris dates, the singer thanked her team for helping her create the new version of the show during the two-month break after the ‘Eras Tour’ visited Singapore in March.
“This post is dedicated to the new Tortured Poets section of the Eras Tour (aka Female Rage The Musical!) and everyone who made these memories so magical,” Swift wrote on social media, alongside a series of images from the set.
To my crew, fellow performers, and band who worked tirelessly in their break to concoct this surprise for you – but mostly for the fans in Paris. I’m so thankful that it was you we got to show this to for the first time because you gave us so much excitement, passion, and love.”
She concluded: “I’m SO fired up to play this for every crowd on the tour. See you very soon, Stockholm!” See the post above.
The ‘Tortured Poets…’ segment of the gig includes the songs ‘But Daddy I Love Him’, ‘Who’s Afraid of Little Old Me?’, ‘Down Bad’, ‘Fortnight’, ‘The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived’ and ‘I Can Do It With A Broken Heart’.
